Plexiglas over oil and encaustic painting by Arlene Stamp
I asked Arlene Stamp to give me one of her paintings from the series of paintings she did based on colour Xerox copies of paintings by amatuer painter Gladys M. Johnston. I placed a sheet of red Plexiglas over her painting that acted as a filter, changing its original colours and texture. The Plexiglas bonded to the wax medium in the painting and cannot be removed without causing damage to its surface.
